Research Appointments

Nez Perce County Historical Society‘s mission is to preserve our local history and educate the local community and other visitors. We gather and maintain a collection of artifacts, historical photographs, an archive of primary material, a library, and history files that represent and record the history of Nez Perce County. The museum serves to house and exhibit the collection. Our holdings contain many items and information that is not on exhibit and for that reason, we attempt to make as much of our collection as possible available to researchers to study upon appointment.

Research hours: Wednesday and Thursdays, 11am - 3pm

Due to staffing limitations, an appointment is mandatory to ensure access to the material.

A fee of $6.00 is required. Copying or reproduction fees may be charged. If your request requires additional research, we can assist up to two hours of research at $38 per hour (includes retrieving and refiling).  If extensive research is required we will provide you with a list of un-endorsed private researchers as a convenience to researchers.
